Burda Style Magazine 5/2021 Review

Burda Style is a sewing and fashion magazine based in Germany. It’s been there fore 75 years and it’s my favorite sewing pattern magazine. Since 6 years ago, you can buy the PDF download version directly from their website, which is very convenience.

The Burda RU site has just announced the May 2021 preview. The theme is ethno-motives and sports fashion for the home.

At a glance, these are comfortable and casual styles. There are a few patterns worthy calling out.

Most creative: the denim color skirt with embroidery. I love that style!

Most Classic: The trench coat. This one used a non-traditional fabric but the style is classic without a mistake.

Most useful: If you haven’t owned a legging pattern already, this can be your T&T pattern that you make one after another.

Most comfortable: The sport jacket on line 3 seems really comfortable with unconstrainted collar, loose fit, rib cuffs and hem.

Burda Style magazines are sold in some Joann, Barnes & Nobel in the US. You can also subscribe from their website in the US. Each magazine has about 40 patterns and retails for $12.99 only. Much cheaper than if you buy any patterns, including their own PDF patterns. eBay is another good resource because they sell out so quickly in Joann!
